Cinderella's Off The Hook

Cinderella woke up wrong
Wondered where her prince had gone.
Wasn't home; no where near
She had his kid & then he hid.
She sat up in bed thinking how'd this happen.
The baby cried & she started packing.

Princesses aren't dressed like this.
Or on food stamps or on welfare bliss.
She then got up, like she does.
Fed the kid & got her game face on.

Sick of guys who promise her the moon.
Slippers don't fit & they move on way too soon.
Carriage ride was in some Dodge.
He was in some band singing old rock songs.

She picked up her kid & ran
Cinderella needed a plan.
Now she knows it's all about her.
Got new clothes & crazy-fierce look.
She'll now take on the world & publish her book.
